Experience the finest of the Galapagos with the Naturalist Cruise aboard the Alya. This expedition voyage provides the opportunity to explore the incredible wildlife present on the Galapagos Islands. On Genovesa, relish in awe-inspiring vistas, exhilarating dinghy excursions, and intimate encounters with some of the archipelago's most renowned avian species like Nazca Boobies and red-footed Boobies, among others. Witness the majestic Galapagos Giant Tortoises and gain insights into their conservation and scientific investigation. Santiago, an island once frequented by pirates, offers hiking and dinghy rides for your enjoyment.

Day by day

Day 1: Baltra Airport & Santa Cruz Island: Black Turtle Cove

Baltra airport. Arrival at the airport. Transfer to the boat. Welcome on board Alya Catamaran. Welcome drink. Lunch.

Santa Cruz Island: Black Turtle Cove

Our first stop is Black Turtle Cove, located in Santa Cruz's northern area. The bay is only accessible by boat and is enclosed by mangroves. This shallow cove provides a refuge for marine wildlife. Here, you can often see black-tip reefs sharks, turtles and various rays.

Day 2: Genovesa Island: Darwin Bay & El Barranco

Darwin Bay

Activities for the day include: photography, short walks, swimming and snorkeling. Genovesa, a tiny island located in the north Galapagos. Wet weather is expected for our unloading at Darwin Bay. We will see a large mangrove area where you can find frigates, boobies (red-footed and mask), seagulls herons and the great terrestrial finch. After the visit to the island, passengers are invited to swim in the Bay. There are snacks and drinks available. Lunch.

El Barranco

Hiking is a good activity for dry landing. Also called Prince Phillip's steps. We will walk along the Barranco Path. We will see tropical birds such as petrels and common frigates, mask boobies and red-footed boobies. Dinner.

Day 3: Santiago Island: Sullivan Bay & Bartolome Island
Day 4: Santa Cruz Island: Dragon Hill & Chinese Hat Islet
Day 5: Santa Cruz Island: Charles Darwin Station & Airport
