North Seymour Island
Dry landing. Seymour was created by the eruption of volcanic marinelava. This island was home to marine fossils that date back to the Pleistocene era.
Captain Alan Hancock and his crew took 72 malnourished iguanas to North Seymour Island in 1932. This was so they could live in better circumstances. 1934 colonists confirmed that the iguanas had been in good health.
North Seymour's vegetation is dense and hosts nesting Real Frigates from the Galapagos.
